Recruiters are often juggling a dozen roles at once, and most hiring platforms slow them down instead of helping. LaborUp wanted to change that for manufacturing roles. They want to give recruiters a way to find, review, and reach out to candidates fast, without sacrificing thoughtfulness.
Recruiters couldn’t see enough to trust the match. Profiles felt vague. Filters didn’t help. Actions were hidden. Everything felt like it was built for someone else.
I was brought in to redesign the recruiter experience and allow recruiters:
Scan candidates with confidence – by surfacing work history and skills in context.
Take action without breaking flow – preview a profile, make a decision, and move to the next in one view.
Filter with real-world relevance – skills, location, and certifications, all prioritized for industrial roles.
Reach out in fewer steps – less toggling, more talking to the right people.
